Landscape Photography & Mixed Media

My landscapes often begin with an encounter: a place where the horizon is bigger than your plans. I’m drawn to rugged natural landscapes because they need nothing from you. They’re simply there.

Indifferent, impressive, and therefore honest.

In this series, I explore the scale of the landscape and the place of humanity within it. Sometimes human presence is visible; sometimes it can only be felt. I start with landscape photography, then add layers of paint, texture and collage. The result is mixed media art that shows not only what was there, but how it felt.

The landscape thus becomes a mirror for inner space. Not as therapy, but as recognition: a reminder that we are part of the earth, wind, stone and time. These artworks are for people drawn to wilderness, freedom and silence, who see nature not as a backdrop, but as a force that shapes us.
