Lakeside
Abstract monoprint - A tangle of aquatic plants, reflections and unexpected colors.
At Lakeside, I see a lakeshore full of growth and movement. The different shades of blue remind me of water reflecting the sky. Amid them, irregular red and pink shapes shoot upward, like reeds rising above the water.
I love the playful, almost messy character of this work. The lines crisscross, colors emerge and then disappear beneath other layers of paint. Just like in nature, where not everything is neatly in its place.
