Portfolio Mixed Media - Collage - Concept
Landscape as Portal, Layer, and Memory
My mixed media collages arise from the desire to show more than a single moment. A landscape is never just an image. It is also memory, expectation, body, emotion. That is why I work in layers.
In this series, I combine photographic elements with paint, paper, texture, and transparency. The result is an image that does not simply stand “in front” of you, but opens something. Some works feel like a threshold, a place where the visible and the invisible touch.
I am drawn to the idea of the portal, not as a science fiction effect, but as an inner experience. That moment when you feel your attention shift. When you begin to see differently. When, for a while, you are no longer living in your head, but in your perception.
These works are conceptual, yet always rooted in nature. They explore connection, the sense of coming home, and the question of what happens when we no longer try to control the world, but choose to encounter it.
