Portfolio Botanical and Macro
Texture, Detail, and Natural Intelligence
Within the smallest forms of nature lies a remarkable intelligence. A vein, a structure, a rhythm of growth. In my botanical and macro works, I focus on details we often overlook, precisely because they are so close.
These images are about intimacy: the experience of gaining access to something larger through a small fragment.
Here, nature does not present itself as an overwhelming landscape, but as a quiet architecture. A pattern written by time and light.
Sometimes I work purely with photography; at other times I add mixed media elements such as paint or collage. What remains central is the sensory experience: texture, sharpness, space to breathe. These works invite slow looking.
For me, botanical art is not about a “beautiful flower,” but about encountering life again. In detail. In closeness.
